I hope you're enjoying these end-of-year roundups of the 2015 releases! We’ve got just a few more to share before wrapping up this series. Last week, we covered all the exciting new Lisette patterns that came out last year. Today, let’s dive into the three fabulous Liesl + Co. patterns that launched back in May. These pieces are perfect additions to any wardrobe.
To start off, we have the Gallery Tunic + Dress. It's quickly becoming everyone's favorite closet companion. Liesl recently shared some fantastic styling tips and fabric suggestions right here on the blog. And guess what? We'll be hosting a Gallery Tunic + Dress sew-along later this month! Starting February 15th, Brittney will guide us through the process in our discussion forums. There’s even a chance to win a prize if you participate. Brittney has already made a couple of these tunics herself, including one in a striking black and white gingham print.
Jessica also got her hands on this pattern and crafted two Gallery Tunics. One features a bold, eye-catching print, while the other showcases a soft, calming blue. Diana put together a beautiful Gallery Dress using some stunning Anna Maria Horner Loominous fabric. Meanwhile, Emma created her own version with a playful dot chambray fabric. Deb stitched up a chic chambray tunic, and Nicola went for something super graphic. Each of these versions highlights how versatile the Gallery pattern truly is.
Next up is the City Stroll Wrap Skirt. Liesl provided plenty of inspiration when she first introduced this pattern, along with some great fabric ideas. This skirt is not only easy to sew but also incredibly fun to wear. Carrie made hers in chambray, while Nicole chose a luxurious cashmere wool tweed. Both options look absolutely gorgeous!
Finally, there’s the Maritime Knit Top. Liesl did an excellent job introducing this pattern, complete with fabric recommendations and styling ideas. If you don’t already own a classic Breton-style top like this, it really needs to be on your sewing list. Just take a look at Joanne’s vibrant, colorful take on the Maritime Top—she looks fantastic in it!
That wraps up our look at the Liesl + Co. patterns from last year. Which ones do you think you might try out this year? Be sure to share your projects in the Liesl + Co. Patterns Flickr group or tag your photos with #lieslandco on Instagram.
Looking ahead, we’ll soon be turning our attention to the new Oliver + S patterns released last year. Stay tuned because we’ll have more details coming your way later this week.
As always, happy sewing, and thanks for following along!
