Adidas Nuggets World Cup earns 1 billion euros no problem

Adidas, the world’s second largest sporting goods giant, recently released a rhetoric that it will “easily” complete its revenue target from the World Cup. Adidas expects to “divide gold” 1 billion euros in football products this year.

Herbert Heiner, chairman and CEO of Adidas, said confidently in an interview: “The sales of the World Cup products are even better than we originally expected, and we can certainly complete our sales goals.”

Adidas is the official supplier of the current World Cup in Germany and will announce its first quarter financial report on May 9. This year only from football, Adidas plans to account for 1 billion euros, which is more than 20% higher than last year. Hainer clearly has a well-established goal: "We plan to sell more than 10 million footballs and 500,000 Germans. National team uniforms and over 1.5 million adidas branded football shirts."

Minsheng Bank to catch Adidas

The 2006 World Cup will start soon. Minsheng Bank launched its foreign exchange financing products linked to World Cup concept stocks in March.

It is understood that Minsheng Bank selected five concept cups for the World Cup, namely AccorHotels, Adidas, Heineken, Nestle and Spring Department Store.

According to the person in charge of the Minsheng Bank, after a long-term follow-up analysis, the World Cup concept stocks usually have strong performance before the World Cup, plus the expected end of the US dollar interest-bearing cycle and the good expectations of the three major European stock markets. Will be further enhanced.
