Adidas net profit of 344 million euros in the third quarter increased by 14% over the same period last year

Adidas AG, a sportswear manufacturer, announced on Thursday that its third-quarter net profit rose 14% year-on-year to 344 million euros, which exceeded analysts' expectations of 332 million euros.

Supported by European emerging markets and Asian demand, and good performance of retail business, Adidas' sales in the third quarter increased by 11% year-on-year to 4.17 billion euros.

Adidas expects net profit for the whole year will increase by 15%-17% to 770 million euros - 785 million euros, and basic earnings per share will be between 3.68 euros and 3.75 euros.
