On December 17, the AQSIQ Scientific and Technological Planning Project “Study on the production of cashmere standard fineness samples†undertaken by the Beijing Inspection and Quarantine Bureau and jointly with the Ordos Cashmere Group passed the expert’s appraisal. This project fills the gap in the cashmere fineness standard sample.
The experts all agreed that this topic provides a new reliable basis for determining the quality index of cashmere and promoting the standardized detection of cashmere, and solves the problem of inconsistency in the standard of fineness and calibration of fineness of cashmere fibers, and that it can change the long-term use of international wool labels in China after promotion. This is a technical flaw in the calibration of cashmere fineness.
